A non-profit self-regulatory organization set up in June 2000, IFPHK fosters professional standards in personal financial planning to benefit the public and is the sole licensing body in Hong Kong authorized by the Financial Planning Standards Board Ltd. (FPSB) to grant the CFP certification to qualified financial planning professionals in Hong Kong and Macau. It is committed to promote the CFP designation as the highest level of competence in the financial planning profession in Hong Kong.
